Former Kamala Harris communications director Jamal Simmons declared Sunday that Joe Biden should step aside from the presidency and allow Kamala Harris to become president until January when Trump takes office.
“There’s one promise left that he could fulfill: being a transitional figure,” Simmons told a CNN panel hosted by the TDS ridden Dana Bash.
Biden needs to resign “in the next 30 days” Simmons stated and “make Kamala Harris the President of the United States,” in order to “absolve her from having to oversee the January 6th transition of her own defeat,” whatever that means.
Simmons added that “it would dominate the news,” adding that “Democrats have to learn that drama and transparency and doing things that the public want to see… this is the moment for us to change the entire perspective of how Democrats operate.”
Yeah, pretty sure the public doesn’t want to see Kamala Harris become president. Wasn’t there some sort of process that happened last week where Americans said “not a fucking chance,” to that?
The rest of the CNN panel started laughing at Simmons.
Scott Jennings quipped that “Jamal’s out here writing the next season of House of Cards.”
“This has now jumped from an internet meme to a Sunday morning show. Congratulations,” Bash responded, not quite understanding what a meme is and getting her sentence back to front.

She received no delegates in 2020 and no primary votes in 2024 and was defeated in an election by a landslide.
To give her the title of the first female President when the public overwhelmingly decided she was unworthy of that honor is absolutely disgusting, albeit very on brand for the Democrats disdain for “democracy.”

Honestly, when she and Biden took the reins in 2020, I assumed the plan was to have him die or resign within the first year so that she could become the first woman president by default. I kept telling people she was “biden her time.” It is odd that they are only just now thinking of this.
