Iranian state-linked media has aired a three-minute propaganda video titled “Where to kill Barron Trump” that claims the 20-year-old son of President Donald Trump is “fully monitored,” maps alleged locations including New York University dorms and Trump Tower, and asserts a $10 million bounty has been placed on his head.
The clip, broadcast on IRIB Channel 3 and circulated by outlets tied to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, represents a stark escalation in Tehran’s public targeting of the Trump family amid the ongoing conflict.
The video, which features stylized graphics, animations of purported security details, and claims of infiltrating online accounts such as Xbox, Discord and FIFA profiles, ends with a voiceover declaring that “many would be willing” to act and that “Millions of FIFA players against Trump are waiting to receive a ten-million-dollar prize from us.”

Translations circulated by MEMRI and others highlight the explicit framing of Barron as Iran’s “next target.”
U.S. Secret Service spokesperson Nate Herring confirmed the agency is treating the material seriously: “The U.S. Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees. Out of concern for operational security, we do not discuss matters of protective intelligence.”
Last month IRGC-linked media released a similar segment focused on First Lady Melania Trump, titled along the lines of “Where to Kill Melania,” which mapped her movements in New York and closed with a direct warning to Barron.
The pattern fits a broader campaign of state media threats that have intensified since the February 2026 U.S.-Israeli strikes that killed former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and dismantled significant portions of Iran’s military and nuclear infrastructure.
The latest video arrives as Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent prepares what he has described as an “economic D-Day” — “the single greatest financial offensive ever marshaled against an adversary.”
Bessent has stated that President Trump “has dismantled Iran’s military capabilities, destroyed nearly 100 percent of its military factories, and buried its nuclear program,” and that the new measures will target anyone still facilitating Tehran’s remaining financial lifelines.
Ordinary Iranians are already feeling the pressure: the rial has collapsed to record lows while staple prices have soared.
These public threats against the president’s family sit against a longer record of Iranian efforts to kill Trump himself. In March 2026, U.S. intelligence intercepted what authorities described as an “operational trigger” for sleeper cells — an encrypted shortwave-style message directed at clandestine recipients outside Iran and flagged after Khamenei’s death.
Security officials warned of both organized cells and lone actors potentially positioned via routes through Latin America.
Iranian security chief Ali Larijani responded to Trump’s warnings at the time with a direct personal message: “Even those greater than you could not eliminate the Iranian nation. Take care of yourself not to be eliminated!”

Iran tried to kill President Trump and President Trump got the last laugh.”
The Butler attack itself occurred against a backdrop of heightened warnings. Days before the rally, the Secret Service had been briefed on a separate Iranian threat stream. National Security Council officials contacted the agency at a senior level, the Trump campaign was notified, and resources were reportedly surged.
Yet the shooter still reached a rooftop less than 150 yards away. Former Secret Service personnel later described the protective posture as inadequate despite the advance intelligence.
The pattern has continued into the current war. In July 2026, after the NATO summit in Ankara, President Trump was secretly moved off Air Force One via a catering truck and onto a separate military aircraft following intelligence — relayed in part by Israel — of a possible Iranian surface-to-air missile threat against the presidential jet.

The regime’s decision to now publish detailed (if crude and unverified) surveillance claims against Barron Trump, complete with a public bounty figure, marks a qualitative shift from previous rhetoric. It occurs as Tehran’s economy contracts under successive waves of pressure and as U.S. officials describe the military phase of the campaign as having already achieved its primary objectives.
Whether the video reflects genuine operational capability or desperate propaganda, the Secret Service is treating it as a live threat. The president’s family remains under protection, and the administration’s stated policy is that any successful attack would trigger consequences far beyond the economic measures already underway.
