Creepy Video: Vermont Dems Push Bill Against Gay Porn ‘Book Bans’ In Children’s Libraries

They want kids to have access to sexually explicit material without their parents knowing

Vermont Democrats are progressing legislation that would see parents prevented from knowing what materials their kids are able to access in libraries.

The bill, which would reduce parental access to these records for children under 12, is a direct response to the backlash against what the left has misleadingly dubbed ‘book bans’ to describe concerns over sexually explicit books being pushed on children.

Under current law in the State, parents and guardians of kids under 16 have access to what books their children have checked out at a library.

The Vermont Senate advanced the bill last week, with Senate Education Chairman Brian Campion claiming it will allow children more freedom to investigate controversial subjects on their own.

Campion said the bill would “Prevent the sort of bullying and I’d say discriminatory culture that they sometimes feel in American society, so we thought this was a particularly important provision that kids could go in and just sort of go in on their own, not have their parents be able to access this information.”

The bill would also mandate that schools not be allowed to remove materials due to the gender identity of authors or characters in the books being challenged. Objections to materials based on “personal morality, political views, or religious views” would also not be enough to get a book removed from a children’s library.

Sharon Toborg of Vermont Right to Life, said that the legislation has potential for covering up sexual abuse against children.

Testifying to Senate Health and Welfare recently, Toborg said “We should all want to make sure kids are protected from exploitation as well as from their own immaturity. However, changes in laws and policies at both the federal and state levels, such as the change proposed in S.151, are making those protections for minors increasingly difficult.”

“The tacit approval of early sexual activity by policy makers – activity that is literally criminal under Vermont law – makes it more important than ever that parents are informed so they can protect their children when the state will not,” Toborg further urged.

Reporting on the development, NBC News 5 put together an extremely creepy segment, featuring some questionable characters endorsing the push to have kids be able to access explicit material without the consent of their parents.

As we have repeatedly highlighted, such graphic and sexually explicit books, some even containing pedophilia themes, have become common place in schools all over the country.

While most are works of fiction, gender ideology has also crept into educational books for children:

Parents are also routinely shut down or ejected from meetings for reading aloud from such material.

The board members usually either have no idea that the material is readily available at their schools, or they condone it.
