Donald Trump proved he was still living rent free in Jimmy Kimmel’s head when the Oscar host read out Trump’s review of his performance for a cheap laugh from Hollywood elitists.
Proving incapable of politicizing the awards show, Kimmel couldn’t resist reading out what Trump posted about him on Truth Social just an hour or so before.
Kimmel quipped that he was surprised Trump was still up watching the show as it was “past your jail time”.
The camera then cut to Hollywood actors who whooped and hollered with delight.
The full review read: “Has there EVER been a WORSE HOST than Jimmy Kimmel at The Oscars. His opening was that of a less than average person trying too hard to be something which he is not, and never can be. Get rid of Kimmel and perhaps replace him with another washed up, but cheap, ABC “talent,” George Slopanopoulos.”
“He would make everybody on stage look bigger, stronger, and more glamorous. Also a really bad politically correct show tonight, and for years – Disjointed, boring, and very unfair. Why don’t they just give the Oscars to those that deserve them. Maybe that way their audience and TV ratings will come back from the depths. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
Respondents on X pointed out that Trump remains firmly under Kimmel’s skin.
“Jimmy Kimmel reads Trump’s Truth Social post ripping Kimmel as a mediocre, woke host of this year’s Oscar’s. He lives rent free in these people’s minds,” commented Charlie Kirk.
The late night host also whined about the director of Barbie being snubbed because the hectoring, painful movie she produced wasn’t given even more Oscars.
His crass jokes about Robert Downey Jr. also fell flat.
John Cena walking out on stage naked was also called a “humiliation ritual” by some, leading some to ask what the reaction would have been if they’d have done that to a woman.
