Watch: Farage Explains Why He’s At Davos…

“The online conspiracy is running riot”

Reform UK leader Nigel Farage is at the World Economic Forum in Davos, not to cozy up to the globalist elite, but to confront them head-on—just like President Trump did earlier today. Despite past vows to reject the WEF’s influence, Farage insists his attendance is about delivering a blunt message on British priorities, echoing the America First ethos that’s shaking up the establishment.

In a video posted to X, Farage addressed the backlash directly. “The online conspiracy is running riot. Nigel Farage is going to Davos, he’s become a globalist. Slow down!” he said, dismissing the claims.

He drew parallels to his two decades in the European Parliament. “I spent 20 years going to the European Parliament, never once did I change my views—in fact they probably hardened,” Farage explained.

Farage highlighted others who’ve taken the fight to Davos. “And yes, I am going to Davos, as has President Milei of Argentina, as has Donald Trump.”

Recalling his EU battles, he added, “And the EU had my message: far too long British governments have been craven to the EU, rather pandering to the EU than standing up for the interests of British people and British workers.”

Farage made his intentions clear. “I’m going to tell them all that is going to change. There’s gonna be a new government in Britain that puts British priorities first.”

He posed a challenge to critics: “So ask yourself a question: would you rather I stayed at home or rather I went?”

Detractors have accused Farage of hypocrisy, suggesting he is in Davos to mingle with elitists. This myopic outlook entirely misses the point and ignores the strategy: infiltrating the lion’s den. In addition, Farage aims to network and potentially meet Trump amid talks on issues like Greenland, while staying true to Reform’s anti-globalist stance.

Farage’s remarks come amid a backdrop of surging populism, where globalists at Davos are grappling with their fading grip on power. As we earlier reported, figures like WEF co-chair Larry Fink admitted the forum’s influence is crumbling, while Trump administration officials declared globalization a outright failure.

Trump set the tone earlier, blasting the globalist playbook in his address. “The consensus was that so called dirty jobs and heavy industry should be sent elsewhere, that affordable energy should be replaced by the green new scam, and their countries could be propped up by importing new an entirely different populations from far away lands,” he declared.

Trump slammed past policies: “This was the path that sleepy Joe Biden administration in many other western governments very foolishly followed, turning their backs on everything that makes nations rich and powerful and strong.”

He touted his reversals: “Instead of closing down energy plants were opening them up. Instead of building ineffective money losing windmills we’re taking them down and not approving any.”

On bureaucracy: “Instead of empowering bureaucrats were firing them.”

And trade: “Instead of raising taxes or domestic producers will lowering them and raising tariffs on foreign nations to pay for the damage that they’ve caused.”

In another clip, Trump emphasized America’s role: “The USA is the economic engine on the planet—and when America booms, the entire world booms.”

He defended Western values: “The explosion of prosperity and conclusion and progress that built the West did not come from our tax codes. It ultimately came from our very special culture. This is the precious inheritance that America and Europe have in common. We share it. We have to keep it strong.”

Trump wrapped up defiantly: “The United States is back bigger, stronger and better than ever before.”

Farage’s and Trump’s attendance in person at Davos underscores a shift: populists aren’t boycotting the globalist club; they’re crashing it to dismantle its agenda from within. As Trump showed, calling out the failures of open borders, green scams, and offshoring resonates when delivered straight to their faces.

In an era where sovereignty trumps supranational schemes, leaders like Farage and Trump are reclaiming the narrative, putting national interests above elite consensus. The globalists’ grip is slipping, and attendance at Davos is now about accelerating that slide.
