Trump’s New Border Czar: Deportations Will Be “Humane”; Military Will Not Be Used

“It’s going to be a well-targeted, planned operation”

President elect Donald Trump has appointed Tom Homan as his border czar, a White House role that will not require Senate confirmation. Homan was the former acting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) director under Trump, and has a hard line stance on illegal immigration.

Trump made the announcement late Sunday on Truth Social site, noting “I am pleased to announce that the Former ICE Director, and stalwart on Border Control, Tom Homan, will be joining the Trump Administration, in charge of our Nation’s Borders.”

“I’ve known Tom for a long time, and there is nobody better at policing and controlling our Borders,” Trump further wrote, adding “Likewise, Tom Homan will be in charge of all Deportation of Illegal Aliens back to their Country of Origin.”

“Congratulations to Tom. I have no doubt he will do a fantastic, and long awaited for, job,” Trump concluded.

In an appearance on Fox News, Homan was asked about how Trump’s promised mass deportations will be carried out.

He responded, “It’s going to be a well-targeted, planned operation conducted by the men of ICE. The men and women of ICE do this daily. They’re good at it.”

“When we go out there, we’re going to know who we’re looking for. We most likely know where they’re going to be, and it’s going to be done in a humane manner,” Homan added.

Homan confirmed that the military would not be rounding up and arresting immigrants.

In a further interview, Homan told Democratic governors that “If you don’t want to help us, get the hell out of the way — because we’re coming.”

Earlier this year at the National Conservatism Conference in Washington, Homan was asked about a potential mass deportation operation, and responded “Wait until 2025,” adding that “no one’s off the table. If you’re here illegally, you better be looking over your shoulder.”

He also urged, “you’ve got my word. Trump comes back in January, I’ll be in his heels coming back, and I will run the biggest deportation operation this country’s ever seen.”

During a CBS News interview last month, Homan was asked “Is there a way to carry out mass deportation without separating families?”

“Of course there is,” Homan responded. “Families can be deported together.”

Homan also noted how the notion of deportation should not be considered threatening to the immigrant community, only to the “illegal immigrant community.”

  1. SO WHAT, Karl Marxz? Trump can, and should, cancel that UN globalist bullshit and…
Get the US out of the UN and get the UN out of the US!

  2. The most productive way to limit immigration and return people to where they came from is to prosecute the enables, the people give them finances and that give them jobs. Like pigeons, don’t feed them and they’ll go away. Feed them and expect their numbers to escalate.

  3. Jaysus will modernity ever end this trump shite and report on anything else. It’s like 1984 at this stage with all the propaganda.

  4. You’ve got MY blessing. More than one of my friends is an immigrant. They are law-abiding legal citizens who make life better. Deport the scum.

I am confused about not using the military though. In genera, sure, but how are you going to deal with so-called sanctuary cities?

  5. The so-called “Global Pact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration” signed in Morocco on December 10th and 11th, 2018 by the member states of the United Nations (UN) has entered into force. At its core, this pact puts migrants of all types, regardless of their legal status, on an equal footing with genuine refugees enjoying protected status.
