During a pre recorded interview with Univision, Joe Biden again claimed that he doesn’t know if he has the power to close the border and he is “examining it,” despite the fact that he used almost 100 executive orders to open up the border when he came into office.
Interviewer Enrique Acevedo asked, “Have you made a final decision on taking executive [action], in terms of what you want to do at the border, that includes the power to shut down the border, as it was suggested?”
Biden answered, “We’re examining whether or not I have that power. I would have that power under the legislation when the border has over five hundred thousand, [brain melt] five thousand people a day trying to cross the border, because you can’t manage it, slow it up.”
He continued, “There’s no guarantee that I have that power all by myself without legislation.”
“Some have suggested I should just go ahead and try it, and if I get shut down by the court, I get shut down by the court, but we’re trying to work through that right now,” Biden added.
Yeah, maybe give it a shot big guy.
After all, you advanced 94 executive actions in your first 100 days in office, many centred around directly walking back Trump era border policies and completely opening it up to mass illegal crossings.
If Biden can shut down all of Trump's border protection policy, like he did a week after entering office, he can certainly secure the border.

Suddenly he's worried about the courts regarding securing the border, but when it came to canceling student loan debt or opening the border, he was all about that executive action life.
