WSJ Reporter Who Advised Americans To Skip Meals To Save Money Is Out Of A Job

Guess what everyone advised him to do?

A Wall Street Journal columnist who infamously advised Americans they can save money by not eating meals has found himself out of a job after major layoffs at the newspaper’s Washington DC office.

Gabriel T. Rubin announced on X that “I lost a job I really loved yesterday when WSJ’s top brass decided to crush the DC bureau.”

The writer then begged for a job, posting “I am eager to stay in journalism, so please reach out if there are any jobs left in this beleaguered business.”

As we previously highlighted, Rubin penned a piece noting how eggs, cereals, fruit and coffee are among the foods that have rocketed in price the most, and so perhaps breakfast should just be consigned to the dustbin of history for Americans living under Bidenomics:

The report also blamed the “continued effects from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine,” for rampant inflation, rather than, you know, the ruinous policies of the current Administration.

It’s not nice to hear about someone losing their job, but following Rubin’s proclamation that he’s now on the unemployment line, many just couldn’t resist the opportunity to recognise a bit of karma in action:
