Londoners have expressed fatigue with yet another display of “quasi-religious symbolism of a fashionable movement” as London Bridge rail station has turned an entire column within the building into a ‘Pride’ display.
Not content with displaying the many flags of the LGBTQ+ ‘community’ throughout the entire Summer all over central London, this latest display is to celebrate ‘LGBT+ History Month’ throughout February.
The Network Rail website notes that “The station team at London Bridge has worked with Archway, our employee network for promoting, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) inclusion at Network Rail, on an art installation aimed at educating people about LGBT+ flags and communities.”
Hasn’t there been enough ‘education’ on this already? And what exactly is the education? It seems that everyone is just being forced to look at them.
And isn’t it stunning to look at.
Shane Andrews (MBE), chair of Archway, said: “We hope that those who view the pillar will take away with them not only the history and knowledge of the flags and communities but whoever they are and identify, know they are not alone and will find courage to live their life in a more tolerant and informed society.”
The website further notes that “The Pride Pillar will also help show you and our colleagues that our stations are safe and inclusive environments.”
