The Irish government has reacted to the stabbing of children outside a primary school in Dublin by a man of Algerian origin by preparing new laws to punish those who are angry about it.
Three children were injured yesterday, with one 5-year-old girl left fighting for her life, after an Algerian migrant viciously knifed them in broad daylight.
After vilifying irate citizens who staged violent protests in response to the incident, Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar announced new legislation to tackle “hatred”.
“We will pass new laws in the coming weeks to enable the Gardai (police) to make better use of the CCTV evidence they collected yesterday, and also we will modernise our laws against incitement to hatred and hatred in general,” Varadkar told a news conference on Friday.
“I think it’s now very obvious to anyone who might have doubted us that our incitement to hatred legislation is just not up to date. It’s not up to date for the social media age. And we need that legislation through within a matter of weeks.”
“Following the stabbing of children, the Irish government springs into action to clamp down on criticism of children being stabbed,” commented Leo Kearse.

Thank God the Irish PM is tackling the source of what caused the stabbing of three children by an Algerian migrant – Irish people who are displeased with their country being subsumed by migrants!

Nevertheless I worry that there will be “troubles” in Ireland proper before too long if limits on immigration and peaceful permanent solutions to the issues discussed aren’t put into place. How ironic if it came to pass that the targets of these “troubles” were the same perpetrators that are already carrying out similar acts within Ireland’s borders. Of course none of that need happen if immediate and decisive action is taken, including voting out Varadkar and his party.
