ACTIVIST: “Capitalism allows people to die.”

ACTIVIST: “Capitalism allows people to die.”
HAMMER: “Yeah. No one ever died under communism.”
HAMMER: “Did anyone ever die under communism?”
ACTIVIST: “Under capitalism.”
HAMMER: “Great. Good response.”
ACTIVIST: “Under capitalism, people are not prioritized as much as profits are. And so you’re you let people die…”
HAMMER: “Well, because if you go to the emergency room, they’re not letting you die. And anyone can go to the emergency room, including an illegal immigrant.”
ACTIVIST: “And then they die from medical debt.”
HAMMER: “No. No. Have you seen this show, dude? The bankruptcy laws in this country compared to anywhere else are some of the most lax, liberal, incredible to get out of any bad situation ever.”
ACTIVIST: “I don’t know about bankruptcy.”
HAMMER: “You don’t know about anything? That’s the point. If you don’t know about bankruptcy, then don’t comment on medical debt.”
“I’m not 100% educated on everything, but at least know something of what you’re talking about because this was pathetic.”
Historians put the death toll of communist regimes at 85–100 million (executions, gulags, engineered famines).
