Leftist activists have descended into outright absurdity at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, with one pink-haired woman filmed passionately addressing the blooming green algae as a valiant warrior against “fascism.”
At the same time, others have been caught tampering with the new protective sealant in what appears to be a coordinated effort to sabotage President Trump’s push to restore and beautify one of America’s most iconic national monuments ahead of the country’s 250th anniversary.
This is not protest. This is derangement on full display.

A video circulating online captures a woman with vivid pink hair standing at the edge of the pool, speaking directly to the algae as if it were a revolutionary comrade.
“Green Algae. Everybody’s proud of you. You are single handedly doing more to fight fascism than any American has,” she declares with apparent sincerity.
The moment has gone viral for all the wrong reasons, exposing just how detached from reality some corners of the radical left have become.
Rather than celebrating the restoration of a historic site, they are cheering environmental nuisance and apparent sabotage as political resistance.
U.S. Park Police have responded with plainclothes officers monitoring the site after repeated incidents of tampering with the new sealant and liner installed during the recent renovation.
In one striking video, officers detain a woman after catching her interfering with the protective material at the bottom of the pool. The message from law enforcement and supporters of the restoration is clear: keep your hands off the national monument.

These are not harmless pranks. They represent a deliberate attempt to undermine federal efforts to maintain America’s heritage sites.
Comments across social media have highlighted the pattern of impulse-driven destruction that has become all too familiar from certain activist circles.
President Trump has made no secret of his frustration with both the vandals and what he sees as misleading coverage of the situation.
He has publicly stated that multiple individuals have been arrested for vandalizing the Reflecting Pool and warned that those responsible for damaging national monuments face serious consequences.
“The United States Park Police have arrested multiple individuals for vandalizing our Nations magnificent Reflecting Poll,” Trump posted. “Who would do such a thing? These are very serious crimes having to do with the destruction of National Monuments. Years in jail! Work will begin immediately on its repair.”
He has also accused vandals of using a blade to create a long gash in the new surface and of introducing chemicals similar to those previously used on the National Mall in an effort to damage the work.
Trump noted that the algae issue is largely under control and that repairs to the vandalized sections are already underway.
In a direct shot at the press, Trump announced his administration is preparing lawsuits against ABC News for what he called “false reporting” on the Reflecting Pool situation.
“We are preparing lawsuits against ABC for false reporting. I like their money, which will be given to the U.S. Treasury,” he stated.

While some media outlets have downplayed or questioned the vandalism claims, federal authorities have confirmed multiple arrests and citations.
One individual arrested, a 67-year-old former Olympian, reportedly touched a piece of peeling coating out of curiosity and now faces charges of destroying government property.
Trump has emphasized that the core problems stem from deliberate interference, not the renovation itself, and that fixes are proceeding quickly.
The spectacle of activists celebrating algae while others physically damage federal property reveals a deeper sickness on the left: an instinctive hostility toward anything that represents order, beauty, or national pride under this administration.
Monuments and public spaces are not partisan battlegrounds. They belong to all Americans. The idea that “fighting fascism” now includes talking to pond scum or ripping up protective sealant is laughable.
These pathetic displays only underscore how unhinged segments of the radical left have become. While real Americans focus on preserving heritage and building a stronger future, the other side resorts to algae worship and monument sabotage.
