A library in Chicago?
Of course it’s a huge waste of money, especially in a city where most people can’t read.
It reminds me of the tall WW2 Bunkers which emplaced Anti Aircraft and tank guns (check these photos out). I would NOT be surprised over the course of time, someone rolled a cannon out and launched heavy rounds at it. This was only built for his own edification and nothing else. I do not know, but is there a place for his burial inside?
