Leftists wasted no time declaring the latest assassination attempt on President Trump a complete hoax, even as the suspect admitted he was targeting Trump administration officials at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.
31-year-old Cole Tomas Allen of Torrance, California, stormed a security checkpoint outside the Washington Hilton, opened fire, and engaged Secret Service agents in a gun battle that left one agent injured.

Allen, armed with firearms and knives, was taken into custody at the scene. He later admitted to law enforcement that he was targeting Trump administration officials. President Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President Vance, and other officials were quickly evacuated from the ballroom unharmed.

This marks the third assassination attempt on Trump in recent years, following two during the 2024 campaign. Yet instead of condemning the violence, segments of the left immediately pivoted to conspiracy theories that would make even the most unhinged tinfoil-hat wearer blush.

A Twitter account made a post with the shooter’s name almost 2 1/2 years ago, and the header of that account has an image from a website called “Time Machine”.

Prominent leftist accounts are amplifying claims that the entire event was staged because an X account posted the shooter’s name almost two and a half years earlier… or something.
Also, the account’s header image, supposedly from a website called “Time Machine,” overlays perfectly with the famous Trump Butler photograph (Spoiler – no it doesn’t).

The conspiracy crowd didn’t stop there. They insisted Trump smirked when the shots rang out because he was in on the plan. One account posted: “Funniest thing ever. Trump can’t help himself but give the game away. He’s so useless, he can’t even fake it properly.”

The President was then clearly caught off guard and had no idea what was happening in the chaotic moments. He was then rushed out with such haste that he fell over. Leftists even tried to spin that as further proof of staging.

Violent leftists radicalized by years of anti-Trump hate have repeatedly emerged from the education system. In January 2026, two Pittsburgh kindergarten teachers, Katie Patterson and Devin Hays at Propel Schools, were caught on video smiling, crossing their fingers, cheering, and laughing while reacting to news of Iranian assassination threats against Trump.
They held up a phone screen showing the headline “Iran Issues Assassination Threat Against Trump: RPT” with the caption “THIS TIME IT WILL NOT MISS THE TARGET.” The school placed both on leave, stating in an email to families: “Any suggestion of harm or violence toward any human being is completely unacceptable and does not reflect the values of Propel Schools.”
In October 2025, a Chicago elementary school teacher was filmed making a neck-slashing gesture while mocking the assassination of Charlie Kirk, while another education worker called for shooting ICE agents and violence against Trump supporters.
The rot runs even deeper at the institutional level. Teachers’ unions have been exposed funneling millions of taxpayer dollars into George Soros-linked dark money groups and far-left political agendas. The National Education Association alone sent $300,000 to the 1630 Fund, tens of thousands to the Tides Foundation network, and millions more to activist causes including anti-Israel protests and election meddling.
Leftists have continued to use vile rhetoric toward Trump, and it is still inspiring crazed lunatics to try and kill him. And now even some former Trump supporters and prominent MAGA-aligned voices are using the same rhetoric. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has spread claims that the previous Butler assassination attempt on Trump was staged.
Yet rather than reflect on their own role in inspiring would-be assassins, leftists double down on the “it was all staged” narrative. They cannot accept that their own rhetoric has consequences. Calling Trump a fascist for a decade and refusing to dial back the temperature has produced exactly the outcome any rational person could have predicted: more deranged individuals willing to act.
President Trump has endured multiple attempts on his life because he represents the America First movement that threatens the establishment’s grip on power. The deep state, the media, and the radical left have never forgiven him for that. Their conspiracy theories are not just delusional — they are a deliberate distraction from the real danger: unchecked hate speech that continues to radicalize people like Cole Allen.
Support for Trump only grows stronger in the face of these attacks, both literal and rhetorical. The left can keep inventing Hollywood scripts and bullshit NASA time-travel plots, but the truth remains simple: violent leftists are the ones pulling the triggers, and their enablers in the media, politics, and classrooms are the ones loading the gun.
