Kelly argues Trump would have “handled this a little differently” if he were up for re-election and warns the GOP is now stuck “picking up the pieces” from this “insane conflict.”
“He doesn’t care about the Republican Party. He cares about himself,” Kelly said.
“And I don’t think he cares that JD Vance or Marco Rubio wins the presidency next time around.”
“I think there’s a piece of Trump that would like to say, ‘I’m the only one who could do it. The Republican Party’s nothing without me.’”
“And the rest of us are gonna be around to pick up the pieces.”
