In Dumfries, Scotland, terrified schoolgirls are to be provided with rape alarms after being stalked and photographed by asylum seekers housed at a nearby hotel.
Rather than deport the problem or shut down the facility, police have opted to arm children with panic devices while the men continue to loiter around school lunchtimes.

As detailed in the report, parents say groups from the Mercure hotel turn up daily as school lets out for lunch, leering at the girls and making them too scared to walk the streets of their own town. Some girls have stopped going into the town centre entirely.
One concerned mother, who asked not to be named, told The Scottish Sun: “Every single day these guys turn up just as the school is about to break for lunch and hang around just to perv on the kids.”
“Some of the girls have stopped going into the town as they feel so unsafe,” the mom continued, adding “There have been suggestions that the men have made crude comments to some of the kids.”
“The police need to get a grip on this and start patrolling the town during these times, but they don’t,” she further urged, adding “We cannot get to a position where the answer to this issue is to give schoolgirls rape alarms and hope they don’t get attacked.”
The reports focus on schoolgirls, but the same groups of men hanging around schools pose risks to everyone. Do young boys get rape alarms too, or are they simply expected to fend for themselves while the state refuses to secure the borders?
Police Scotland confirmed the action in a statement: “In January, officers carried out enquiries following the report of two men acting suspiciously in the Dumfries area. No criminality was established. Two teenagers were provided with appropriate safety advice and given personal attack alarms.”
They also noted a separate February incident where a 19-year-old man from the hotel was arrested over a child protection concern but later released without charge.
Scottish Tory candidate Craig Hoy slammed the situation: “These reports are deeply alarming and reflect the fears of residents I have spoken with. It is shocking that we have reached a point where girls have had to be given alarms to keep them safe from potential threats from migrants.”
Hoy added, “Authorities must give locals urgent reassurance that they are robustly monitoring these individuals. It is time to close the asylum hotel in Dumfries to address concerns.”
The hotel, under a Home Office contract since 2023, primarily houses single males. Official figures show 91 asylum seekers were in Dumfries and Galloway hotels at the end of 2025.

Instead of mass deportations, buffer zones, or closing these hotels, the solution offered is to give children personal attack alarms and hope for the best. Local residents have protested outside the Mercure, but the political class continues to prioritise asylum seekers over the safety of British children.
This is not compassion. It is surrender. Britain’s open-borders experiment has turned quiet towns into no-go zones for kids during lunch break. The only real fix is to end the hotel contracts, process claims offshore or not at all, and remove those who have no right to be here.
Until politicians choose the safety of their own people over globalist virtue-signalling, more alarms will be handed out and more parents will live in fear.
