Hillary Clinton Demands PUBLIC Epstein Showdown In Effort To Avoid Closed-Door Grilling

After months of evasion, Hillary Clinton pushes for a televised spectacle instead of private depositions

Hillary Clinton unleashed a barrage on social media Thursday, targeting House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) amid the ongoing Epstein investigation. Fresh off agreeing to testify alongside Bill Clinton, the former Secretary of State accused Republicans of shifting terms and dodging real accountability.

This latest clash comes as the Clintons prepare for depositions later this month, with Hillary set for February 26 and Bill on February 27. The move follows intense pressure from Comer, who recently announced the pair had “caved” after facing contempt proceedings.

As we previously detailed, the Clintons spent months dodging subpoenas, framing their resistance as a stand against a supposed witch hunt.

Comer called out their demands for special treatment, noting it had been “nearly six months since your clients first received the Committee’s subpoena, more than three months since the original date of their depositions, and nearly three weeks since they failed to appear.”

Now, Hillary is pivoting to offense. In one X post, she claimed: “For six months, we engaged Republicans on the Oversight Committee in good faith. We told them what we know, under oath. They ignored all of it. They moved the goalposts and turned accountability into an exercise in distraction.”

She followed up with a direct challenge: “So let’s stop the games. If you want this fight, @RepJamesComer, let’s have it — in public. You love to talk about transparency. There’s nothing more transparent than a public hearing, cameras on.”

Hillary wrapped up by affirming: “We will be there.”

The Oversight Committee fired back swiftly, accusing the Clintons of spinning facts. “The Clintons are going to Clinton and try to spin the facts. On Tuesday, at the eleventh hour, their lawyers, Jonathan Skladany and Ashley Callen, said their clients accepted the terms of the depositions,” the committee posted on X.

They emphasized consistency: “These terms are no different than any other deposition we have held on this case — even with Republicans like former AG Bill Barr and Secretary Alex Acosta.”

Addressing the video recording dispute, the response added: “Then they pretended that we were moving the goalpost when they received, along with the subpoenas, the House deposition guidance that explicitly mentions video recordings.”

The committee dismissed further delays: “We are not going to debate the meaning of the word ‘is.’ We are going to get answers for the American people. The full truth. The buck stops here.”

Comer shared emails between the committee and the Clintons’ legal team, confirming agreement to transcribed depositions. This transparency push aligns with his earlier stance, where he rejected the Clintons’ “ridiculous offer” for an unofficial interview, stating their “last name entitles them to special treatment.”

Comer has confirmed that the closed door depositions will be made public.

This development underscores a broader shift: elite figures long shielded by establishment ties are finally facing scrutiny. Bill Clinton’s documented Epstein connections—over 20 flights on the Lolita Express and 17 White House visits by the predator—demand answers.

Comer’s probe, contrasting with past efforts that protected Democrat insiders, signals accountability for all. As the committee noted in its X response, this is about “getting answers & justice for survivors.”
