President Trump has delivered a hammer blow to the globalist elite, officially withdrawing the United States from 66 international organizations focused on everything from climate hysteria to gender activism and migration schemes.
The move strips away the legitimacy these groups relied on from American participation, redirecting resources back where they belong—to the American people.
Trump has ensured there will be no more subsidising outfits that undermine US borders, economy, and freedoms while advancing ‘progressive’ agendas at the expense of the American people. The President’s action exposes the deep state’s cozy ties to these unelected bodies, fulfilling a core promise to dismantle the stranglehold of internationalists who prioritize global governance over national interests.

The announcement came straight from the White House, with Secretary of State Marco Rubio noting in a statement, “We will not continue expending resources, diplomatic capital, and the legitimizing weight of our participation in institutions that are irrelevant to or in conflict with our interests.”
The sweeping withdrawal builds on Trump’s earlier efforts to slash UN funding and exit entities like the World Health Organization and UNESCO. The decision stems from a review by Rubio, deeming these commitments “contrary to U.S. interests” and aiming to repurpose taxpayer dollars for domestic needs.
The reality is clear: these orgs have long served as vehicles for anti-American policies, from climate mandates that hamstring the energy sector to programs that erode sovereignty. Trump is reclaiming control, potentially saving billions that globalists would otherwise squander.
Rubio further laid out the rationale:
Today, President Trump announced the U.S. is leaving 66 anti-American, useless, or wasteful international organizations. Review of additional international organizations remains ongoing.

These withdrawals keep a key promise President Trump made to Americans – we will stop…
In the official State Department release, Rubio expanded, “The Trump Administration has found these institutions to be redundant in their scope, mismanaged, unnecessary, wasteful, poorly run, captured by the interests of actors advancing their own agendas contrary to our own, or a threat to our nation’s sovereignty, freedoms, and general prosperity.”
Rubio emphasized the cost, noting “President Trump is clear: It is no longer acceptable to be sending these institutions the blood, sweat, and treasure of the American people, with little to nothing to show for it. The days of billions of dollars in taxpayer money flowing to foreign interests at the expense of our people are over.”
He critiqued the evolution of these groups, stating “As this list begins to demonstrate, what started as a pragmatic framework of international organizations for peace and cooperation has morphed into a sprawling architecture of global governance, often dominated by progressive ideology and detached from national interests.”
Rubio added, “From DEI mandates to “gender equity” campaigns to climate orthodoxy, many international organizations now serve a globalist project rooted in the discredited fantasy of the “End of History.” These organizations actively seek to constrain American sovereignty.”
Rubio wrapped up: “We will not continue expending resources, diplomatic capital, and the legitimizing weight of our participation in institutions that are irrelevant to or in conflict with our interests. We reject inertia and ideology in favor of prudence and purpose. We seek cooperation where it serves our people and will stand firm where it does not.”
The White House provided some highlights of what is being jettisoned:
Climate and environment: “Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, International Renewable Energy Agency, International Solar Alliance”
Human rights and justice: “UN Entity for Gender Equality (UN Women), UN Population Fund, offices on Violence Against Children, Sexual Violence in Conflict, and Children in Armed Conflict”
Development: “UN Democracy Fund, UN Human Settlements Programme, UN Conference on Trade and Development, Education Cannot Wait”
Security cooperation: “Global Counterterrorism Forum, European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats, Regional Cooperation Agreement on Combatting Piracy in Asia”
These entities have ballooned into tools for pushing left-wing ideologies, from endless climate scaremongering to programs that meddle in national policies without delivering real results for Americans.
Here’s the complete roster of the 66 organizations, conventions, and treaties the U.S. is exiting, as outlined in the White House memorandum:

This purge marks a turning point, freeing America from the web of international entanglements that have drained resources for decades. The era of funding adversaries ends—paving the way for a stronger, more independent nation that answers to its citizens, not distant bureaucrats.
