GAS PRICES PLUMMET To Four-Year Lows As Trump Gears Up For 2026 ECONOMIC BOOM

Democrats are left fuming as everyday Americans reap the rewards

President Trump’s energy dominance is delivering real relief at the pump, just in time for holiday travel, while his administration tees up sweeping economic wins that have the left in panic mode.

From slashing inflation to rolling back burdensome regulations, the Trump team is proving that putting Americans first crushes the agenda that drove prices sky-high under the previous disastrous regime.

As local news outlets are forced to admit, gas prices have tumbled nationwide, hitting levels not seen since the early days of the pandemic—proving Trump’s drill-baby-drill approach is working faster than even his supporters expected.

According to recent reports, the national average for a gallon of gasoline has fallen to around $2.82, the cheapest December prices since 2021 EIA data. GasBuddy data shows averages dipping below $3 per gallon in most states, with further declines expected Fox Business.

In a local FOX19 report from Cincinnati, reporter Bella Livingston highlighted the savings during a live segment at a gas station. “It is perfect timing for everyone that is leaving and heading out to wherever their holiday destination is,” she said, noting the ideal conditions for road trips.

Livingston pointed out the historical context: “The last time that the national gas price average was below $3 was four years ago.”

Comparing to recent highs, she added: “This time last year, the prices were up about a dollar.”

Citing AAA data, Livingston reported: “AAA says that right now the national average is about $2.86. This is the first time in the gas price average was below $3 since May of 2021.”

Zooming in on local bargains, she explained: “But the tri-state is sitting at even lower prices in the Cincinnati area. A gallon of regular unleaded gas is right around $2.54!”

Livingston continued: “In northern Kentucky, the average is a bit higher at $2.60 and prices in our highest, if you can even call it that, in southeastern Indiana with an average of $2.80.”

These drops aren’t happening in a vacuum—they’re part of Trump’s broader economic resurgence. As the White House touts, gas prices are just the start, with broader relief on the horizon.

The administration is already mapping out an economic explosion for 2026, leaving Democrats scrambling to downplay the successes.

In a recent FOX News appearance, National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett teased major initiatives, including aggressive housing reforms aimed at slashing home-buying costs. Hassett revealed that every cabinet member is crafting plans to make housing more affordable, with details expected soon after Trump’s post-Christmas meetings at Mar-a-Lago.

The agenda, as spotlighted in the segment, includes key pillars: Inflation down to 2.7%, fuel economy standards rolled back to cut car prices, potential rebates from tariff revenues, the largest tax refund season ever, Trump Accounts for kids, a task force on grocery prices, rising real incomes, job creation focused on native-born Americans, an incoming housing plan, and a plummeting trade deficit.

Hassett has also predicted record tax refunds in 2026, potentially saving families $11,000 to $20,000, fueled by tariff revenues that could even fund $2,000 checks to Americans. This comes as Trump addresses affordability head-on, vowing to tame the inflation beast unleashed by prior administrations’ reckless spending.

Trump’s playbook is simple: Unleash American energy, cut red tape, and put citizens first.
