It started its slide into economic decline because the power elites starting with that dick Tony blair who began importing the 3rd world and using the production of British society to support turd world trash. At first the Brits could no longer afford to have 2 or 3 kids to maintain population stability. So then they had to import more former colonials as replacements. Then they did not have the jobs for them…so they became fully wards of the state and the power elites just imported trash and impoverished the Brits to out and out support the leaches. Bill Clinton started it here and it has increased with every successive president except Trump. The Brits started it with Windrush and it never stopped they just imported worse and worse trash.
