..i thought the same thing, back in ’92, when they had the LA riots. there was a B Dalton Bookseller store, and i went in to buy a book (post-rioting), and i asked’em if they sustained any damage. their answer was pretty telling: the store next to them got looted (a rock/music shop), but nobody bothered them. they even had their doors unlocked during the melee, and NOBODY came in. the offenders just kept running past their storefront.
