An Ipsos poll has found that fewer than half of all British people would be willing to fight to save their country.
Yeah, that figures.
The Survey was conducted to coincide with the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day, marking the formal surrender of Nazi Germany to the Allied nations in 1945.

While many Brits marked the occasion this past weekend with street parties and reflections, many who reside in the country now simply have no clue what VE Day is.
The poll found that just 35 per cent said that they would be willing to put their lives on the line to protect Britain now, while 17 per cent said that they were unsure, the Mail on Sunday reported.
The poll also revealed that in the age range of 35 to 54, only 28 percent would be willing to fight for Britain.
The easiest way to defeat a country is to ensure its citizens do not want to fight for it. Bravo! It has been achieved. Weak men. Ungrateful women. Mass migration. pic.twitter.com/zRtWP71vMN

The poll also found that liberals were the most unlikely to want to fight for the country, while supporters of Reform UK, forever now referred to as the ‘far right’ by the media and Prime Minister Kier Starmer, were found to be the most willing to sacrifice their lives for Britain.
Retired British Army officer and veteran of the Afghan and Iraq wars, Richard Gill commented “The fact that so many would refuse to fight for Britain is a symptom of a deeper national malaise.”
“We’ve stopped teaching pride in our country, its history, and its values,” Gill lamented, adding “A nation unsure of itself cannot expect its people to defend it. That must change.”

More news on our radar

I guess it depends. Did we start the war? I think a lot of Brits are more likely to fight a civil war with the current invaders landing on our beaches almost every day – tens of thousands of them every year. In our case, the enemy is within – Comrade Starmer and his traitorous government (though the Tories weren’t much better). Also to some degree, the EU politicians.
What enemy is going to want to invade what’s left of the UK anyway? Due to successive governments, I’m sad to say our country is rapidly becoming a third world shithole.
Fighting a pointless foreign war and ending up in the meat grinder for what? Look at Ukraine. If our politicians want to start or join a war, the citizens message to them is: you first, along with YOUR sons and daughters!
Many have already chosen “the bottle” over fighting for socialism.
Sad to hear…
They ain’t welcome here if they think they want to run away, if any survive
True Brits no longer have a country to fight for, Starmer and his cronies have flushed it all away in pursuit of their globalist agenda.
Agreeing with you 1,000%
Well why would anyone want to die for the small hats profits and land grabs.
