Agreed and the government is expecting civil unrest this summer – to the point where they are building new prisons and freeing paedos, murderers and rapists to make more room for potential rioters. We also have armed police, but no (legal) guns held by citizens (farmers are permitted shotguns under strict licences).
Unless there is literally a coordinated full on revolution, we are stuck with this government for another 4 years. I would not be surprised if they ‘criminalise’ our only ‘right wing’ party at some point in those next 4 years like France has just done to Marine le Pen. It’s also suspected that mosques up and down the country are hiding stockpiles of illegal weapons, but the government won’t investigate because it suits them.
