Bill Gates Says ‘Humans Won’t Be Needed For Most Things’

But may still be required for entertainment purposes.

Bill Gates says that in the near future humans won’t be needed for “most things” thanks to AI, but will still be required for the purposes of entertainment.

Gates made the comments during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote his new book.

Fallon asked Gates whether AI was going to “take over” and what the downsides and benefits of it were.

Gates explained that “intelligence is rare,” but that artificial intelligence will start to replace great teachers and doctors over the course of the next decade.

The Microsoft founder went on to suggest that many types of jobs will be replaced and that people could only end up working two or three days a week.

“This is a bit scary, it’s completely new territory,” he added.

“Will we still need humans?” asked Fallon.

“Not for most things,” responded Gates, prompting Fallon to hold his hands over his mouth in shock.

After Fallon suggested humans would still be needed for entertainment purposes, like hosting a talk show, Gates concurred.

“Well, we’ll decide. You know, like baseball. We won’t want to watch computers play baseball. So there’ll be some things that we reserve for ourselves. But in terms of making things and moving things and growing food, over time, those will be basically solved problems.”

Apparently, putting potentially billions of people out of work, who will then be completely dependent on the state, is a ‘solved problem’.

During another appearance on The View, Gates predicted that the next COVID-style pandemic “could be far more severe.”

Interestingly, while having his arms crossed the whole time, Gates rubbed his hands together while saying, “This one, it killed millions, it was awful, we got the vaccine.”

  1. ..Gates is not a medical doctor; he’s a computer programmer. i dont’ care about anything he says about health, disease, medications, vaxxes, surgeries, etc.

  2. Yeah, a big idiot talking to a tiny idiot telling us all about AI. The tiny idiot’s mommy and daddy were big into Planned Parenthood and eugenicists friends so to this tiny idiot killing people before they’re born and giving Jabs to people deemed “socially useless” at say age 50, is a good thing. The tiny idiot is the one that doubled his profit creating a virus in computers to sell you anti virus ware and was a regular on Epstein’s love island for pedo’s. The big idiot’s show just made his name by filming women shaming themselves for idiot viewers.

    FYI: Both idiots are Fascists.

  3. Heard it all before. Robots are going to replace you back in the 70s. Problem was to replace three 50K a year jobs with one robot they would have to spend 2.5 to 8 million for the robot. Not to mention upkeep and repairs, the power consumption, and let’s not forget the three tech jobs needed full time for trouble shooting and adjustments. And a programmer for the next model changes. How many times have you heard about a recall of food items because of possible metal pieces in it. They had to recall the whole lot because the computer and robot cannot tell something is wrong. Or the auto vacuum cannot tell the dog did a no-no on the carpet.

  4. Gates and his Davos/WEF buddies are no doubt plotting their next genocidal lunacy. Another genetically engineered virus escaping from a Chinese lab might be too obvious (and it didn’t go to plan last time). I suspect something cataclysmic which will be blamed on A.I. (If it becomes plausible enough). Failing that, ‘climate change’.

  5. We heard similar utopian b_s decades ago, when it was touted that in the future people would have to work only 20 hours per week to accomplish the same work they were then doing in 40. Did not quite work out that way, did it? Gates neglects to consider the greed factor as well as the laws of economics. In fact, people are now working two or three jobs just to make ends meet. When the technology changes, the work changes, and the jobs change, and the working class never wins.

  6. Gate’s tacit assumption is that someone will have to program the AI initially, and that it will be him. About as close to God as a human can get. This should scare everyone, not agaisnt AI, but against Gates.

  7. This is chilling. I am very nervous about the next decade or two. If A. I. can start curing diseases and helping people to live longer / indefinitely, then great. But even if it brings about a utopia, think about how bored people are going to get having nothing to do.
