Encounters With Illegals At Border Have Already Massively Reduced

The Trump effect

Within days of President Trump being sworn in, Border Patrol encounters with wannabe illegal immigrants have plummeted to record lows.

CBP figures show that encounters over the past three days were significantly lower than the final three days of Biden’s presidency.

NewsNation reporter Ali Bradley shared more figures, noting that last week encounters were at 4000 in a day, and yesterday there were fewer than 500.

Bradley notes that sources within CBP are telling her “This is what it’s supposed to look like.”

The text after the cut off reads

“Welcome to the Trump effect…”

1/17-1/19: BP: 4,000 OFO: 4,940
1/20-1/21:  BP: 1,940 OFO: 930
1/22 (as of approx 8pm) BP: 440 OFO: 45 OFO

encounters are often CBPOne app appointments—As you can see, those numbers nearly vanished after President Trump scrapped the app. The app was considered a “legal pathway” under the Biden administration—Nearly 1M people entered the country using the CBPOne. Trump promised the app would be gone and within 15 minutes of being sworn in, it was inoperable.

For further context, in December there were 200,000 encounters.

The mass deportation effort of those already within the US is also in full flow.

Hundreds of criminal illegals have already been arrested.

As we highlighted earlier this week, many illegals are reportedly ‘self deporting’ in the wake of Trump’s inauguration.

Trump is also deploying active duty troops to the border to assist Border Patrol.
