A leftist theatre in Paris is about to go out of business after it allowed 250 African migrants in for free five weeks ago and they refused to leave.

On December 10th, the posh Gaîté Lyrique theatre in Paris staged an event titled ‘Reinventing the welcome for refugees in France,’ involving academics, activists and Red Cross officials.
The organisers rounded up some ‘refugees’ and let them into the event for free, presumably in an effort to give it more authenticity.
Yet when the event finished, the men refused to vacate the building, and they’re still occupying it now.

The theatre is now teetering on the brink of bankruptcy as all performances have had to be cancelled until at least January 24.
The venue has already suffered a hit of “several hundred thousand euros in direct losses,” according to management.

A statement from the management notes that the number of migrants who are effectively living in the theatre is “continuing to increase” and has reached more than 300.
The statement added that “The sanitary conditions are deteriorating day after day and the teams are facing this situation alone,” with local authorities yet to step in and do anything to help.
Pictures and footage obtained from inside the venue and on the steps outside shows the migrants packed in to it, loitering around and even protesting about ‘racist’ French laws on illegal immigration.

Remarkably, despite being about to go under, the theatre refuses to entertain turfing the illegals back out onto the streets.
“Although this occupation is forced, it is unthinkable for the Gaîté Lyrique to throw these people out onto the street in the middle of winter,” the management notes.
It gives new context to the phrase ‘Refugees Welcome’.
In addition, the bistro next to the theatre has reported €30,000 in lost revenue so far.
The manager of the eatery, who is ironically the daughter of Algerian migrants, has urged “They are ruining my business,” adding “They hang around outside my terrace, smoking joints and fighting among themselves.”
“Not only do we no longer get theatregoers because the theatre is shut but we don’t get passers-by either. They’re being frightened away by all these young men,” she added.
