Senator Rand Paul has suggested that Elon Musk be named as Speaker of The House.
Yes, really.
Paul made the suggestion in a Thursday X post, stating “The Speaker of the House need not be a member of Congress.”
“Nothing would disrupt the swamp more than electing Elon Musk . . . think about it . . . nothing’s impossible. (not to mention the joy at seeing the collective establishment, aka ‘uniparty,’ lose their ever-lovin’ minds),” he added.

Musk, who is X owner, Tesla CEO and Space X CEO, not to mention Starlink and Neuralink, has also been named as the head of the new Department of Government Efficiency.
It’s difficult to see him having time to be Speaker of The House as well, but anything is possible.

Paul blasted the current Speaker Mike Johnson over the bloated 1500 page spending bill, calling him “a weak man.”

The debt will continue to grow. Ultimately the dollar will fail. Democrats are clueless and Big Gov Republicans are complicit.

President Trump has said that Johnson will “easily remain Speaker” if he acts “decisively and tough” on the spending bill.
“If the speaker acts decisively, and tough, and gets rid of all of the traps being set by the Democrats, which will economically and, in other ways, destroy our country, he will easily remain speaker,” Trump told Fox News.
Trump added that “Anybody that supports a bill that doesn’t take care of the Democrat quicksand known as the debt ceiling should be primaried and disposed of as quickly as possible,” Trump said.
He reiterated the sentiment in a further post to Truth Social.

Actually, the speaker of the house should probably not be a member of Congress or have any interests that is beholding to the workings of the bills being voted on. A common-sense private citizen who has a high degree of business acumen would be a much better choice.
Speaker of the house should be able to take over if President and Vice President are taken out, and Musk cannot, due to not being a citizen by birth. There is that.
Pelosi would hit the expensive stuff.
