Daniel Penny, the former US Marine charged with manslaughter, and subsequently criminally negligent homicide for subduing Jordan Neely in a chokehold, which ultimately led to his death, has been found not guilty on all charges by a New York City jury.

They conveniently left out the part concerning schizophrenic Neely, a mentally ill person with a history of violent behaviour, threatening to kill passengers, including children, on the train.
Neely had over 40 prior arrests to his name and an open warrant out for his arrest in the assault of a 67-year-old woman in Manhattan’s East Village.
He was screaming about wanting to “kill” and not being afraid to go back to prison or to die.
