President-elect Trump announced Wednesday that he has spoken to Mexico’s president and that she has agreed to stop mass migration of people across the southern border into the United States.
In a statement posted on Truth Social, Trump said his conversation with president Claudia Sheinbaum was “wonderful,” and that the two also discussed strategies to tackle drug trafficking.
“She has agreed to stop Migration through Mexico, and into the United States, effectively closing our Southern Border. We also talked about what can be done to stop the massive drug inflow into the United States, and also, U.S. consumption of these drugs. It was a very productive conversation!” Trump wrote.
In a further post, Trump declared that the agreement would be put into place immediately.
The announcement comes on the heels of Trump threatening to impose a 25% tariff on all goods from Mexico and Canada starting from the first day of his administration, until those governments take stronger measures to curb the flow of illegal drugs and migration into the U.S.
Meanwhile, Trump’s incoming border czar, Tom Homan, has said that any local or state officials who try to prevent the deportation of illegal aliens will be committing a felony.
Referring particularly to the Mayor of Denver, who has vowed to resist Trump’s deportation efforts, Homan noted “Me and the Denver mayor agree on one thing. He’s willing to go to jail, and I’m willing to put him in jail.”
“It’s a felony if you knowingly harbor and conceal illegal aliens from immigration authorities. It is also a felony to impede a federal law enforcement officer,” Homan said. “I mean, I don’t know what the hell is going on in Denver, but we’re going to go and we’re going to fix it. If you don’t want to fix it, if he doesn’t want to protect his communities, President Trump and ICE will.”

What I never understood was the monthly direct deposits. Do illegals not understand the amounts will start to gradually diminish after January 20th or did they lie about that as well?

None. Trump is president elect until January. However, if it costs a few greenbacks to stop/reverse the wet back invasion, most Americans (not you, obviously) would consider it money well spent.
