Formula One racing legend Johnny Herbert has commented on Jaguar’s bizarre rebranding of itself into some sort of LGBTQ activist campaign, calling it ‘confusing’ and revealing that no one he’s spoken to in the auto world understands what the company is doing.
As we’ve highlighted, the move appears to be an astoundingly stupid one, yet the company has doubled down, even appearing to threaten critics.
Now, in comments made to to Prime Casino, former Jaguar team driver Herbert remarked “Oh my Lord, what have they done?!”
“You look at it and wonder what it is trying to achieve,” he continued, adding “Where is it pitching itself at? Who is it trying to appeal to? I am confused.”
“I had heard the whole rebranding is being aimed at a very high market car in the next couple of years. Nothing under £100,000 [$125,585],” he further commented.
“Is it the Jaguar brand and logo that is the problem, or is it the product itself which people don’t seem to want to buy?” Herbert queried, adding “Everyone I have spoken to just doesn’t get it.”
“I would say the biggest problem is the Jaguar product. It is not selling,” he continued, further noting that “To take the cat off Jaguar just seems the most unbelievable marketing decision I think I have ever seen.”
“If they had made a better product, it would be selling and you wouldn’t need an expensive new logo,” Herbert declared, urging that “The product is not capturing people’s imagination.”
As we highlighted, the ‘mastermind’ behind Jaguar’s disastrous woke rebrand is a BLM-supporting LGBTQ activist who pledged to enhance the car company’s commitment to ‘diversity and inclusivity’.
Meanwhile, Formula One itself has agreed to a new formal ‘Diversity and Inclusion’ charter to “improve diversity” across their organizations.

“As a sport that prides itself on its unrelenting high performance, Formula 1 recognizes the importance that diversity plays in introducing new perspectives and ideas, and in driving innovation, culture, and business results,” a statement on the official website for Formula 1 reads.
The charter has been drawn up in close collaboration with Lewis Hamilton, and its implementation will be supported by his charity Formula 1 partner Mission 44.
