Former Navy Seal turned Republicans Congressman Eli Crane has warned Donald Trump that there is a distinct possibility that someone within the Secret Service is leaking intelligence to deliberately put the former president’s life in danger.
During an interview with conservative commentator Benny Johnson, Crane noted that the evidence he has seen suggests there is a “mole” within the agency.
“My advice to the President is to bolster your private security around you not only to fill holes in the gaps that the Secret Service continues to leave open but also to watch the watchers,” Crane suggested.
Crane further urged that he believes the may be an insider “in the Secret Service team surrounding the President or at the highest levels of the Secret Service,” who is providing nefarious parties with information on Trump’s movements.
“So he needs somebody, like a group of individuals around him that are loyal to him,” Crane said, advocating Trump use his own private security personnel.
As we highlighted, questions surround how the shooter Ryan Routh knew that Trump would be at his gold club in West Palm Beach on Sunday afternoon at roughly 1:30 pm as he with real estate investor Steve Witkoff.
The decision to hit the course was a “last minute” one, and there is no way anyone other than Trump’s security detail and close aides knew he would be there.
In addition, i News in the UK is reporting that “The US Secret Service cannot guarantee it can prevent further shootings,” according to British and US intelligence sources.
The report further notes that “Law enforcement sources on both sides of the Atlantic warned that aggressive social media rhetoric and the ease of buying firearms has created a threat for both presidential campaigns too large for the US agency to deal with alone.”
In other words, the narrative that Trump will face further attempts on his life has been set.
Given the litany of failures back in July, it seemed obvious at the time that Trump needs to hire his own private security to keep him safe.
