Mark Zuckerberg ‘Regrets’ Censorship of COVID Info & Hunter Biden Laptop Story

Says he was pressured to kill content by Biden White House.

Mark Zuckerberg sensationally admitted that the Biden White House pressured Facebook to censor content about COVID-19 and the Hunter Biden laptop story and that he now regrets it.

In a letter to the House of Representatives’ Judiciary Committee, Zuckerberg said the social media giant was “repeatedly pressured” by the government to blacklist information after Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2021.

“In 2021, senior officials from the Biden administration, including the White House, repeatedly pressured our teams for months to censor certain Covid-19 content, including humour and satire, and expressed a lot of frustration with our teams when we didn’t agree,” wrote the Facebook founder.

Such information included claims that the virus emerged from a Chinese lab, something which subsequently became one of the most likely scenarios, as well as content that questioned the efficacy and safety of the COVID jab.

“I believe the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken about it. I also think we made some choices that, with the benefit of hindsight and new information, we wouldn’t make today,” wrote Zuckerberg.

The CEO of Meta said he was “ready to push back if something like this happens again,” suggesting that the company will move away from the core role it has played in the censorship-industrial complex.

Zuckerberg also acknowledged that Facebook wrongly censored the Hunter Biden laptop story as a result of an FBI warning that it constituted “potential Russian disinformation operation,” despite the story being completely true.

The censorship of the story, which was mirrored by pre-Elon Musk Twitter, was castigated by some as an example of direct election interference as it could have cost Joe Biden an untold number of votes if allowed to circulate properly.

According to the Republican-controlled House Judiciary Committee, Zuckerberg’s admissions a “big win for free speech,” however others are asking why it took him this long to come clean.

“You just got a confession that your enemies rigged the election and were rewarded with the White House,” commented Auron MacIntyre, asking who if anyone would face punishment for the censorship.

“Sounds like a First Amendment violation,” responded Elon Musk.

  1. The writing is in the wall for this utter wank. He drove the propaganda bus against Trump in the last election, made sure lies about Trump were promoted and truth about the Bidens suppressed.

    He’s not not stupid.

He knows that if/when Trump is re-elected Trump will go after all those who shat on him in 2020. He’s worried, now, that he picked the wrong side. I’m pretty sureTrump remembers who his enemies were…

  2. Zuckerberg has always been a bit of a snivelling twerp. This guy is always apologizing for some damn thing. Yet it doesn’t stop him, does it? He’ll just say sorry later.
