Security Was Supposed To Be Ramped Up At Trump Rally Due To SEPARATE Assassination Plot

Reports have suggested that a separate assassination plot against Donald Trump was detected before Saturday’s rally, and that security was supposed to be ramped up as a result.

The story has emerged via CNN, which quotes a U.S. official who “said the Secret Service shared details of an increased threat with the Trump campaign.”

The official claimed that Iran is responsible for the plot, noting “Secret Service learned of the increased threat from this threat stream,” and adding “NSC directly contacted USSS at a senior level to be absolutely sure they continued to track the latest reporting.”

“USSS shared this information with the detail lead, and the Trump campaign was made aware of an evolving threat. In response to the increased threat, Secret Service surged resources and assets for the protection of former President Trump. All of this was in advance of Saturday,” the official also stated.

Really?

So why did security appear so lax that a shooter was able to bring a ladder and climb on a roof less than 150 yards away from Trump and fire multiple shots at him?

The gunman was spotted several times up to half an hour before the assassination attempt.

As we highlighted earlier, the Secret Service is ludicrously claiming that security was not placed on the roof because it was sloped and presented a safety risk.

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino has claimed that an “unimpeachable source” told him there was supposed to be someone on the roof from where gunman Thomas Crooks shot at Trump but that they “didn’t show up,” and no one knows why.

Bongino says that the subsequent excuses being presented to the media are “nonsense.”
