Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was ridiculed after a protester followed her advice to “make ppl uncomfortable” by confronting her over the bombing of Gaza at a Brooklyn movie theater.
Ocasio-Cortez and her fiancé Riley Roberts were approached by a man outside the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema around 5 p.m. Monday.
“You refuse to call it a genocide,” the mask wearing man told her.
“I need you to understand that this is not okay,” responded AOC.
“It’s not okay that there’s a genocide happening and you’re not actively against it,” he shot back.
“You’re lying,” said AOC.
The protesters continued to follow the couple, prompting AOC to snap back, “I already said that it was and y’all are just gonna pretend that it wasn’t over and over again. It’s fucked up, man,” she screeched.
“And you’re not helping these people, and you’re not helping them, you’re not helping them.”.
The far-left Congresswoman appeared to be concerned that the clip would go viral and be edited.
“You’re gonna cut it … and you’re gonna clip this so that it’s completely out of context,” Ocasio-Cortez fumed.
The protesters never obstructed her or posed a physical threat.
Many conservatives responded by pointing out that the protesters were merely following AOC’s advice.
During the George Floyd riots in 2020, she wrote, “The whole point of protesting is to make ppl feel uncomfortable…to folks who complain protest demand make others uncomfortable…that’s the point.”
