An elementary school in New York has been heavily criticised after it distributed a Black Lives Matter colouring book containing communist revolutionary terms to children as young as five.
The school, called PS 321, and also known as William Penn, is reported to have given the book titled “What We Believe: A Black Lives Matter Principles Activity Book” to children from Kindergarten through to fifth grade.
The Free Press reports that the pupils were supplied the materials as part of lessons on Black History Month.
The book is centred around thirteen so called tenets of the Black Lives Matter movement, including “Restorative Justice.”
Principle number 2, “Empathy,” is described as “engaging comrades with the intent to learn about and connect with their contexts.”
The report notes that parents of a child in the fourth grade were appalled when they read the book and noted that it used the word ‘comrades’.
The language was particularly shocking to them given that the child’s grandparents had fled Communist China to live free in America.
“They are using words that I don’t think are appropriate for elementary school,” the parent noted, urging that “the word comrades comes from Communist times.”
Another parent whose family fled the Soviet Union noted that the book reminded her “of the songs we were made to sing as elementary school children.”
“‘Dismantling’ and ‘comrade’ and everything—it really reminds me of the word salad that was a part of those songs… same salad, different dressing,” she added.
Another principle is titled “Black Villages,” and endorses “disrupting the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement.”
The book also focuses on BLM’s “national demands,” which include “mandate black history & ethnic studies,” “hire more black teachers,” and “fund counselors not cops.”
Other sections of the book focus on gender, using terms including “Queer Affirming,” and “Transgender Affirming.”
An exercise in the book prompts students to read another book about a girl who transitions into a boy called “When Aidan Became a Brother.” It then asks students, “How do you feel when someone tells you what you can or can’t do based on your gender?”
The report notes that the parents would not have found out about the material had it not snowed and their children been asked to complete classwork at home.
The backlash was swift.

Absolute jibberish. Black lives matter movement has nothing to do with black history month. It’s a volatile, extremist organisation that doesn’t deserve recognition to be in any history book.
Children are very impressionable, it is easier to program them young for the cult of the left.
Communists never want to move to Communist places. They only and ever want to bring Communism to Capitalist places because even they know what Communism does to everything around it. Everybody wants to be a Communist at the start when there are resources to plunder and people to show-try and hang. Nobody wants to be a Communist a year later when the food is gone, the power is out, the plumbing is spotty, and they’ve tried and hanged all the people who can save them.
