Almost a fifth of Americans believe that there really is a psyop involving Taylor Swift to help rig the 2024 election to ensure Joe Biden wins, a new poll has found.
A Monmouth University Poll published Wednesday reveals that “Just under half (46 percent) of the American public has heard something about Swift being part of a supposed covert government effort to help Biden win the 2024 presidential election.”
It further notes that “Just under 1 in 5 Americans (18 percent) believe such a conspiracy involving Swift exists.”
Monmouth adds that “Fully 71 percent of those who believe this identify with or lean toward the Republican Party and 83 percent indicate they are likely to support Donald Trump in the fall.”
In addition, 73 percent of those who believe the Swift psyop theory also believe the 2020 election outcome was rigged, according to Monmouth.
“The supposed Taylor Swift PsyOp conspiracy has legs among a decent number of Trump supporters,” said Patrick Murray, director of the independent Monmouth University Polling Institute, adding “Even many who hadn’t heard about it before we polled them accept the idea as credible.”
As we have recently highlighted, the legacy media is still characterising the fact that the Biden campaign is working with Swift for voter recruitment as a crazy conspiracy theory, despite also acknowledging that this is in fact taking place.
The new findings come after a study from Newsweek found that 18% of voters would be either “more likely” or “significantly more likely” to vote for a candidate backed by Taylor Swift. The survey also noted that in the under 35 age range, it’s closer to 30%.
Meanwhile Donald Trump claimed last week that Swift benefitted massively under his time in office thanks to his work to sign copyright legislation into law making it easier for artists to get paid for online streaming.
