Watch: Putin Sarcastically Mocks Biden During Tucker Interview

“Why would I call him?”

During the lengthy interview with Tucker Carlson, released Thursday, Vladimir Putin completely dismissed Joe Biden, revealing that he does not believe Biden is a serious leader and sees no point in entertaining the idea of talking to him.

Carlson asked Putin whether has been in contact with Biden since the war in Ukraine was started in February 2022, to which the Russian leader responded that he is maintaining a line of communication “through various agencies” in the US, but clearly not with Biden personally.

“Certain contacts are being maintained,” Putin stated, even going as far as to say that Russia was negotiating to work with the US on a missile defence system in the past.

Putin initially claimed that he doesn’t remember the last time he spoke to Biden, and that it isn’t important because he has serious things to do.

He then added that the last time he said anything to Biden it was before the invasion, noting “I said to him, then, I believe you are making a huge mistake of historic proportions by supporting everything that is happening there, in Ukraine, by pushing Russia away.”

Putin then mocked Biden, urging “Why would I call him? What should I talk to him about?”

“Or beg him for what?”, he continued.

“You’re going to deliver weapons to Ukraine? Oh I’m afraid, I’m afraid, please don’t. What is there to talk about?” Putin sarcastically added.

The Russian leader later stated that the US “needs to stop supplying weapons,” reasoning that it will never be enough to defeat Russia militarily and it is the only thing keeping the war going.

“If you really want to stop fighting, you need to stop supplying weapons”, Putin proclaimed, adding “It will be over within a few weeks.”

He then stated that if the US ever tried to put troops into Ukraine it would bring humanity to the brink of a very serious global conflict, calling threats to do so by the likes of Chuck Schumer, a “cheap provocation.”

“Does the United States need this? What for? Thousands of miles away from your national territory. Don’t you have anything better to do?” Putin questioned.

He continued, “You have issues on the border, issues with migration, issues with the national debt, more than 33 trillion dollars. You have nothing better to do, so you should fight with Ukraine? Wouldn’t it be better to negotiate with Russia?”

Putin then stated “It goes against common sense to get involved in some kind of a global war. And a global war will bring all humanity to the brink of destruction. It’s obvious.”

He further claimed that Western leadership has “been scaring everyone with us all along…in order to extort additional money from US taxpayers and European taxpayers in the confrontation with Russia in the Ukrainian theatre of war,” adding that “the goal is to weaken Russia as much as possible.”

Elsewhere during the interview, Putin confirmed that then British Prime Minister Boris Johnson sabotaged a peace deal with Ukraine that would have ended the war 18 months ago.
