Hillary Clinton was roasted after she bizarrely tried to insert herself into the controversy over the Barbie movie not receiving Oscar nominations in key categories.
The movie, which was originally intended to be a feminist girl boss romp, ended up achieving the opposite effect by making Ken the most interesting character in the film.
Despite the movie receiving eight Oscar nominations, director Greta Gerwig and lead actress Margot Robbie didn’t receive any, leading to emotional outbursts by fans online who thought the pair were entitled to be honored because “women,” or something.
However, the most cringe reaction was easily that of Hillary Clinton, who somehow managed to insert herself into the drama.
“Greta & Margot,” the two-time failed presidential candidate posted on X. “While it can sting to win the box office but not take home the gold, your millions of fans love you. You’re both so much more than Kenough.”
As if that wasn’t bad enough, she then added a completely inane hashtag: “#HillaryBarbie”.
Even the left-wing Huffington Post found the remarks bizarrely out of place, reporting, “Although it made sense for Barbie star Ryan Gosling to make a public stink about his colleagues’ snubs, the same can’t be said of a politician with zero ties to the film.”
Others accused Clinton of betraying her rampant narcissism.
Many others had a good laugh at Hillary’s expense.
