A modern art piece that looks like an incomplete QR code and is accompanied by paragraphs of text was ridiculed for looking like a “leftist meme”.
According to the X user who posted the “art” (pronouns in bio), it made her cry in public.
As with most modern art, the piece is an ugly, low-skill, low effort creation that only assumes the identity of being a work of art by being placed in an art gallery and having a bunch of faux-sophisticos gush over it.
“Literally a leftist meme,” joked cartoonist Stonetoss.
The leftist meme trope is when progressives try to rival the success and impact of right-wing memes but routinely include walls of text having to explain it, rendering the meme itself pointless and absurd.
The wall of text accompanying the “art” complains about HIV not being given the attention it deserved when the epidemic started to accelerate in the late 80’s.
The ‘they/them’ who cried over it was apparently upset that someone had used AI to complete the art by filling in the rest of it (proving once again that the original was rubbish in the first place).
Other respondents on X ridiculed the pretentiousness of the piece.

I don’t believe that HIV shit, it is probably cancer for having gay sex.
It shows the alphabet soup community, broken, fragmented and missing. Any community who’s emphasis is on sex and hedonism is never a good thing especially when is controlled by the obviously mentally I’ll.
