Obese YouTuber Says Fat People Should Pay For Extra Seat on Plane

Pay the “fat tax”.

Amidst a controversy over Southwest’s policy that gives fat people a free ticket for the seat next to them on the plane, YouTuber Boogie2988 says the “fat tax” should be paid by obese people in advance.

Southwest is handing out free tickets for the neighboring seat if fat people ask for it at the check-in counter.

They’re even booting people off flights who have booked and paid for their ticket in advance if a fat person needs their seat.

While the policy has been celebrated by obese TikTokers, YouTuber Boogie2988, who weighs around around 400lb, says that’s totally unfair.

“I have proudly paid for a second seat for over a decade now,” he posted on X.

“It’s the fat tax and it needs to be paid.”

“If you can afford the McDonald’s you can afford the extra seat.”

Boogie received support for his stance from those who would normally disagree with him.

Southwest has been accused of “rewarding obesity” over the policy, with CDC stats showing that 40 per cent of adults in the United States are now clinically obese.

Fatties can even book the extra seat in advance and then get a full refund for it later.

As we highlight in the video below, while airlines will charge you an arm and a leg for a check-in bag that weighs half a kilogram over the limit, they’ll literally let a fatty have your seat for free.

  1. Good on him for saying what has to and needs to be said!
As a Fat A** myself. I 100% agree with him, since I sure the hell do not want to burden someone in that way. Nobody should!
