A pro-Palestine protester in New York made a complete fool out of herself after repeatedly forgetting the words to the infamous “from the river to the sea” chant.
The phrase has been routinely shouted by pro-Palestine demonstrators at rallies across the west over the last two months, despite many believing it to be a call for genocide or at best anti-Semitic.
The actual words are “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”
However, the woman in this clip, carrying a large Palestine flag, hasn’t quite got to grips with it.
“Funny, you don’t look Palestinian,” says the man filming the encounter.
“From the nation to the sea, Pales…Palestine will be free,” she responds.
“From the nation to the sea?” he asks.
“No, from the err mountains to the sea,” the corrects herself
“From the mountains to the sea?” asks the man, to which she responds, “That’s what we want.”
“Which mountains?” he probes further.
The woman is completely stumped, and stands there smiling gormlessly in silence.
“You fucking idiot,” he tells her.
Respondents on X enjoyed seeing her getting embarrassed, with some suggesting she was a paid protester.
