Joe Biden’s Irish ‘Weekend at Bernies’ style trip continued on Thursday with several incredible moments, including the U.S. President’s attempt to say hello to a dog that hilariously wanted absolutely nothing to do with him.
The huge Bernese Mountain dog called Misneach (the Irish word for courage) belongs to the Irish President Michael Higgins, who had to put him back in the house to avoid more embarrassment after he growled and barked a warning at Biden, backing away and refusing to greet him.

The Daily Mail quipped that maybe the dog “just knew the president’s history of inappropriate kissing and fondling of anyone he meets.”

Biden was twice asked about the massive intelligence leaks that have happened in the U.S., but of course he didn’t have anything to say:
On Wednesday, Biden mixed up the New Zealand rugby team, known as the All Blacks, with the Black and Tans, a British police force group associated with a brutal occupation of Ireland in the 1920s.
Whoops!
Pointing to his tie, Biden said “This was given to me by one of these guys, right here… He was a hell of a rugby player. He beat the hell out of the Black and Tans.”
Like a nursing home patient out on a day trip, Biden told the Irish President that he doesn’t want to go home:
