Joe Biden has made an unannounced trip to Ukraine to meet with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the eve of the anniversary of the beginning of the conflict there, yet Biden still has no plans to visit East Palestine in Ohio where disaster continues to unfold.
Biden has said he has gone to Ukraine to “reaffirm our unwavering and unflagging commitment to Ukraine’s democracy, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.”
“I am meeting with President Zelenskyy and his team for an extended discussion on our support for Ukraine,” Biden continued, adding “I will announce another delivery of critical equipment, including artillery ammunition, anti-armor systems, and air surveillance radars to help protect the Ukrainian people from aerial bombardments. And I will share that later this week, we will announce additional sanctions against elites and companies that are trying to evade or backfill Russia’s war machine.”

Critics were quick to point out that while Biden is off helping other countries, there is an unmitigated tragedy going completely ignored in the heartland of America and Biden has no plans to even go take a look.
He didn’t go to East Palestine, but traveling to a war zone on a different continent is fine I guess.
