Republicans could barely believe what they were witnessing Saturday as a $61 billion aid package for Ukraine was passed, and Democrats broke out into chants of ‘UKRAINE, UKRAINE,’ while waving Ukrainian flags on the floor of the House of Representatives.
The bill, titled the Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, passed by a vote of 311-112.
In addition to the Ukraine funding, there was more foreign aid outlined in the legislation for Israel and other US allies, amounting to a total of $95 billion.
As soon as the result was in, Democrats began to wave the flags and chant.
The actions prompted the presiding Rep. Marc Molinaro to that announce that the waving of the flags was a “violation of decorum.”
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna sought recognition and then yelled “put those damn flags away!”
House Speaker Mike Johnson, in likely one of his last actions, also took the podium, slamming the gavel and announcing, “The House will be in order! It is a violation of decorum to wave flags on the floor of the House. The Chair said it, the Speaker’s repeated it, please put the flags down.”
Republican Rep. Thomas Massie posted video of the flag-waving, and slammed Johnson, noting “This is the U.S. House of Representatives under the direction of Speaker Mike Johnson. Democrats are celebrating his total capitulation with no victory for securing our border.”
Democrats draped themselves in the Ukraine flags to rub it in.
Ukrainian president Zelenskyy thanked Johnson personally.

Zelensky would apparently be happy to continue this conveyor-belt of billions and bloodbuckets forever so long as he was in the ‘heroic’ spotlight.
