NYC Socialist Mamdani’s Wife Caught Using N-Word, Celebrating Terrorism In Old Posts

Rama Duwaji’s history of radical social media activity raises fresh questions about the values shaping the Big Apple’s leadership

New York City’s socialist mayor Zohran Mamdani is facing mounting scrutiny as disturbing details about his wife Rama Duwaji’s past online activity continue to emerge.

The first Muslim mayor of the city, already known for pushing phrases like “globalize the intifada,” now has to explain why the woman he calls the love of his life was liking posts celebrating the October 7 Hamas massacre and sharing content glorifying terrorists.

These revelations highlight the radical elements that have taken root in American cities, where unchecked immigration and far-left ideologies have allowed extreme views to reach the highest levels of local government.

Mamdani’s wife, 28-year-old Rama Duwaji, a Syrian-American artist, reportedly operated accounts on Tumblr and X during her late teens and early twenties that were identified through facial recognition by investigators at the Washington Free Beacon.

In one 2013 post from when she was 15, Duwaji allegedly wrote: “Helllll yeah, n****. Super duper genius* excuse you.”

Other early posts blamed “white people” for terrorism, with one stating: “You can’t blame Muslims for terrorism because they didn’t construct, fund, or train Al-Qaeda. White people did that, too.”

She also targeted Israel, claiming Tel Aviv “shouldn’t exist in the first place” and labeling Israelis there as “occupiers.”

The accounts reposted an image of notorious plane hijacker Leila Khaled, accompanied by the quote: “If it does good for my cause, I’ll be happy to accept death.” Khaled is celebrated by some as the first female plane hijacker for her role in attacks with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

Duwaji’s Tumblr further appeared to praise other PFLP members, including a 2015 tribute for International Women’s Day to militant Shadia Abu Ghazaleh, who died preparing a bomb.

This comes on top of earlier reports that Duwaji liked multiple Instagram posts celebrating the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel.

Those included content framing the violence as “breaking the walls of apartheid” with images of attackers on IDF vehicles and even one dismissing documented sexual violence as a “mass rape hoax.” When pressed on the likes, Mamdani responded: “My wife is the love of my life, and she is also a private person who has held no formal position on my campaign or in my City Hall.”

The posts in question appear to have since been deleted, but screenshots and archives tell the story. Duwaji recently appeared on the cover of The Cut, underscoring her public profile despite Mamdani’s “private person” defense.

A spokesman for the mayor added: “Mayor Mamdani has been clear and consistent: Hamas is a terrorist organization, October 7 was a horrific war crime, and he has condemned that violence unequivocally.”

Critics note the disconnect, especially given Mamdani’s own record of ardent Palestinian advocacy that has left many Jewish New Yorkers uneasy.

Comedian Bill Maher recently highlighted Mamdani’s ideological leanings during a discussion, pointing to his hiring practices. Maher stated: “How do I know he’s a communist? Well, I’m reading between the lines when he hired someone who says word for word, ‘let’s elect more communists.’”

Maher continued: “Look, this is not like something you have to really figure out. ‘Elect more communists.’ That’s a communist.” He added that if a mainstream Democrat had such associations, it would be a scandal, but “this is just where we are.”

Maher concluded: “Communism. It’s a political philosophy. It’s an economic philosophy. You’re allowed to believe it. You’re allowed to vote for it. Let’s just not pretend that that’s not what this is.”

New Yorkers deserve leadership that puts American citizens and Western values first, not radicals whose personal lives reveal deep sympathies for terrorism and anti-American sentiments.

With Mamdani in City Hall, the consequences for public safety and social cohesion are becoming harder to ignore. Stronger vetting and a return to sanity in immigration and cultural standards are essential to prevent more of this in positions of power.
