The shooter behind the horrific family massacre at a Rhode Island high school hockey game has been identified as Robert K. Dorgan, a 56-year-old transgender man who went by “Roberta Esposito” and identified as a woman.
Dorgan opened fire on his own family during the game at Lynch Arena in Pawtucket, killing his wife and daughter, critically injuring three other relatives, and then turning the gun on himself.
This tragedy underscores the urgent crisis of transgender violence sweeping the nation, fueled by unchecked mental health issues and radical ideologies pushed by the left.

Witnesses described Dorgan entering the rink with two pink-colored firearms, initially mistaken by some as fake. Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalve labeled it a “targeted family dispute,” but the shooter’s history reveals deep-seated turmoil tied to his transition.
Dorgan’s social media posts the day before the shooting warned of transgender rage. In a reply to a post by Infowars’ Alex Jones, he wrote, “stfu Alex dont be so butt hurtt over somebody different. then wonder why trans ppl go fkn BERSERK.”
He echoed this to actor Kevin Sorbo: “Keep bashing us. but do not wonder why we Go BERSERK.”
Family strife boiled over from Dorgan’s gender issues. He posted on X that his wife “hated the person who stole her husband,” referring to himself after transitioning. Dorgan claimed he told his six children they now had “2 Moms,” a move that reportedly devastated his wife. Their 2021 divorce cited “gender reassignment surgery, narcissistic + personality disorder traits” before being amended to irreconcilable differences.

Legal records show a pattern of conflict. In 2020, Dorgan reported his father-in-law threatening to have him murdered by an “Asian street gang” and declaring, “there’s no goddam way a tranny is going to stay in my house.” Charges against the father-in-law were dismissed. Dorgan also accused his mother of assault that year, with those charges dropped as well.
A woman claiming to be Dorgan’s daughter spoke to reporters outside the Pawtucket Police Department, stating, “He shot my family and he’s dead now.” She added, “He has mental health issues,” describing him as “very sick.”

Trans violence is an epidemic and the threat is escalating.” His tally includes the Tumbler Ridge school shooter, Nashville Christian school attacker, Lakewood Church shooter, and others—all identified as transgender or non-binary.

This Rhode Island horror comes just days after a Canadian school shooting where transgender teen Jesse Strang killed 10 and injured 25 at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School. Strang, who began identifying as a woman in 2023, murdered his mother and brother before the rampage.
Canadian authorities skirted his transgender status under hate speech laws, describing him as a “gunperson” in a dress—yet another cover-up of the mental health crisis at play.
Perhaps even more alarming than the lone mentally unstable trans shooters are the so called “Trantifa” militants blending Antifa tactics with transgender radicalism, part of a pattern where gender ideology intersects with violent extremism.
These cases reveal how leftist policies enabling rapid transitions without mental health safeguards are breeding chaos. From school shootings to bomb plots, the common thread is unstable individuals radicalized under the banner of “affirmation,” often targeting families, churches, or symbols of authority.
