An MSNOW contributor broke down in tears live on air over the death of Renee Nicole Good, the “ICE Watch” agitator who got herself killed after trying to mow down a federal officer in Minneapolis.
As it has now become abundantly clear, Good deliberately blocked agents, accelerated toward them, and forced a split-second self-defense decision. But leave it to the leftist media to twist this into a tragedy for American “families,” all while stoking hatred against law enforcement agents trying to do their job and arrest illegal alien criminals.
As we highlighted earlier, eyewitness accounts and footage have confirmed that Good, the lead agitator who had been stalking ICE all day, turned her vehicle sideways, intentionally blocking the road for minutes before backing up and then lurching forward toward the agents.
This wasn’t some random mishap. The woman was a trained member of the radical “ICE Watch” network, a leftist coalition using apps, vehicles, and harassment tactics to sabotage federal immigration enforcement. Her actions fit a dangerous pattern of vehicle ramming attacks that have skyrocketed over 3,000% in the past year.
Enter Philip Bump on MSNOW’s “Chris Jansing Reports,” where the Washington Post columnist turned talking head turned on the waterworks. Discussing a photo of stuffed animals in Good’s glove compartment—supposedly belonging to her six-year-old child—Bump broke down on air.
“Look what you did to me, Chris [Jansing] … Seeing the image of those stuffed animals in the glove compartment of her car, [it’s] really emotional for me and you know, what I take away from this is, for me, that’s the thing that stands out,” Bump weeped.
He continued to blub, “This was a family that could’ve been like mine and there are a lot of situations, a lot of incidents that have involved ICE, involved the government over the course of the past 13 months that there are residents of other families in similar ways. And for me, it’s hard to think about that family being affected in this way.”
Bump fixated on the toys, ridiculously framing Good as an everyday mom caught in the crossfire. Completely ignoring the fact that she chose to insert herself into a high-stakes confrontation, endangering lives to disrupt deportations. This selective sympathy ignores those who should be lauded, the agents risking everything to remove criminal elements under the border crackdown.
Conservative voices weren’t buying the act. Newsmax host Carl Higbie blasted Bump on X, posting a clip of the segment: “Some beta dope; Phillip Bump starts fake crying on TV over the left wing activist who tried to run over the ICE agent. Such crap.”

Leftists have responded to the shooting with vile calls for violence, chanting “Kristi Noem will hang!” and “Save a life, kiII an ICE” at protests. A guillotine even showed up at an anti-ICE rally in North Carolina.
Bump’s breakdown exemplifies the media’s role in this propaganda machine—amplifying sob stories to undermine border security while radicals plot more disruptions. Good’s decision to weaponize her vehicle against agents sealed her fate. No amount of tears changes that.
These media theatrics only highlight the hypocrisy: endless empathy for agitators, zero for the officers upholding the law. ICE is empowered to deport threats without interference. Attempts to run them down won’t be tolerated—and neither should the fake outrage that enables it.
