“Feels Like 1930s Germany”: Somali Councillor Compares ICE To NAZIS As Fraudsters Targeted

Trump’s crackdown exposes Minnesota’s billion-dollar scams

Somali-born Minneapolis City Council Member Jamal Osman appeared on CNN in a frenzy over incoming ICE operations targeting migrant fraudsters in his community, likening lawful enforcement to Nazi-era tactics while touting Somali “contributions”.

As federal agents gear up for a surge in the Twin Cities, Osman and other officials are scrambling to obstruct, exposing the deep rot in Minnesota’s unchecked immigration policies that have cost taxpayers billions.

Osman appeared on CNN’s News Central, railing against President Trump’s focus on Somali migrants. “ICE is on our streets, asking people for documentation! Feels like 1930s, 1940s Germany!” he exclaimed, invoking Holocaust imagery to slam routine immigration checks.

He doubled down by insisting, “[Somalis] contribute a LOT to Minnesota,” even as federal probes uncover rampant welfare scams tied to the community.

The outburst came amid reports of a targeted ICE blitz, with an AP source confirming operations focusing on Somali immigrants linked to criminal activity. Federal authorities plan to deploy agents this week, prioritizing those with deportation orders or fraud convictions.

Minneapolis leaders, including Mayor Jacob Frey, held a press conference vowing resistance. Osman, representing Ward 6 with its heavy Somali population, blasted Trump as “racist, xenophobic, Islamophobic” before switching to Somali to rally his base.

In the Somali portion, captured in a viral clip, Osman urged the community to “fight” against Trump. Watch:

Border Czar Tom Homan earlier outlined a zero-tolerance stance, urging “We are waiting to prosecute anybody that impedes law enforcement in doing their job.”

Homan slammed Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara as “shameful,” urging him to “put his badge in the desk drawer and walk away,” after he called ICE “kidnappers” and encouraged people to alert police to their presence.

Our earlier coverage of Trump’s Somali scorch laid bare the fraud fueling this crackdown. Trump branded Somali migrants “garbage” who “rip off” the system, declaring, “We keep taking in GARBAGE to our country. Ilhan Omar is GARBAGE. Her friends are garbage…these people come from hell, complain, and do nothing but BITCH.”

He added, “WE DON’T WANT ‘EM!… Their country STINKS! They contribute NOTHING,” pushing for repatriation to “fix” their homeland.

Minnesota’s scandals validate Trump’s fury. The Feeding Our Future scheme alone looted $250 million in COVID relief through Somali-led nonprofits, funding luxuries and possibly Somali terror group Al-Shabaab, with 70 indicted.

Autism billing fraud followed, siphoning millions from Medicaid. Overall, over $1 billion in taxpayer funds vanished, with whistleblowers pinning blame on Gov. Tim Walz for ignoring warnings.

FBI Director Kash Patel has vowed pursuit, stating “We’ve got 78 people arrested…that investigation is very much ongoing. We are not finished! This is one of the largest fraud scams ever committed in the state of Minnesota history.”

Patel added, “We are going to continue to interview and subpoena anyone involved with this case. It is very much ongoing and live.”

Osman’s CNN meltdown and Somali rallying cry spotlight the clash: leftist enablers shielding fraudsters versus Trump’s drive to reclaim resources for citizens.

As ICE storms in, Minnesota’s sanctuary facade crumbles, proving unchecked mass migration breeds abuse and erodes prosperity.

  1. The level at which the Minnesota Democrats are working to cover this up, warrants an investigation into those Democrats. How much of a take are they getting?
