Afghan Shooter Exposed as CIA-Trained ‘Death Squad’ Member

The Afghan national accused of fatally shooting one National Guardsman and wounding another in D.C. has been revealed as a member of a CIA-recruited “death squad” unit notorious for brutality—amplifying cries of “utter betrayal” over Biden’s lax vetting that imported 90K+ Afghans post-2021 withdrawal. 

The bombshell, detailed in Fox News’ November 27 report, exposes Rahmanullah Lakanwal’s ties to Afghanistan’s “Zero Units”—paramilitary forces trained by the CIA to hunt Taliban, known for “brutality” and called “death squads.” 

Lakanwal, 29, was “assigned to this 03 unit, recruited and trained by the CIA to fight the Taliban…known for their brutality and called death squads,” per Fox News, citing a source with knowledge of his background.

These “Zero Units,” or Khost Protection Force, operated “entirely outside the chain of both U.S. command and Afghan forces,” conducting night raids with impunity—accused of war crimes like civilian killings and torture in UN reports.

Lakanwal entered the U.S. in 2021 under Biden’s Operation Allies Welcome, granted asylum in 2023 despite his ties—now facing murder charges for the ambush earlier this week near the White House. 

Lakanwal’s entry exposes Biden’s vetting fiasco, with 90K+ Afghans imported in the wake of the disastrous 2021 military withdrawal from the country, many via hasty humanitarian parole, per DHS figures. 

As we earlier highlighted, the US attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro raged at the betrayal, urging “If you think there was a vetting, I have a BRIDGE to sell you!” 

She further blasted: “90K people…what do we do? Call the FBI in Afghanistan and say, ‘Gee, do you have anything on this guy?’”

Lakanwal’s brutality underscores Trump’s Thanksgiving bombshell, “I will permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries to allow the U.S. system to fully recover,” vowing “reverse migration” to cure Biden’s “deluge.” 

Trump declared: “Terminate all of the millions of Biden illegal admissions… remove anyone who is not a net asset… denaturalize migrants who undermine domestic tranquility, and deport any Foreign National who is a public charge, security risk, or non-compatible with Western Civilization.”
