President Trump delivered a brutal takedown of an ABC News reporter during an Oval Office meeting, calling her a “terrible person and terrible reporter” for her aggressive gotcha style questioning.

Mary Bruce, ABC News’ chief White House correspondent attempted to grill Trump on the Epstein files, as well as family business ties to Saudi Arabia, referencing U.S. intelligence on the prince’s alleged role in Jamal Khashoggi’s murder—prompting Trump to retaliate.

Trump asked Bruce “Who are you with?” Upon hearing “ABC News,” he shot back “ABC fake news! I have NOTHING to do with the family business!”
“You know – it’s not the question I mind, it’s the attitude. I think you are a TERRIBLE reporter,” Trump continued, adding “It’s the way you ask these questions.”

Referring to Khashoggi, Trump stated “You mentioned somebody extremely controversial—a lot of people didn’t like that gentleman. Whether you did or didn’t like him, things happen, but [bin Salman] knew nothing about it. You don’t have to embarrass our guest.”
Trump then savagely shut down Bruce, urging “You’re not credible as a reporter…the way you ask a question, with the anger and meanness – go learn how to be a reporter.”
“NO MORE QUESTIONS FROM YOU!” Trump bellowed, adding “ABC – your crappy company is one of the perpetrators…the license should be taken away from ABC because your news is so fake and so wrong.”
The exchange ended with Bruce apparently barred from asking any further questions in the Oval Office, highlighting Trump’s refusal to tolerate hostile media, a move that resonates amid his ongoing battles over press accountability.
